Hanno fatto il pieno in tutte le categorie d’inserimento, collezionando ben due diversi titoli come “Artists of the Year” e “Favorite Pop/Rock Group”, con riconoscimento alla “Favorite Pop/Rock Song”.. “Butter”.. i “BTS”, trionfatori all’edizione 2021 degli “AMAs (American Music Awards)”, in scena ieri notte dalla tradizionale cornice del “Microsoft Theater” di Los Angeles.. che la cantante, e rapper, Cardi B ha retto da cerimoniera con arrivo in maschera sul tappeto rosso di color oro in faccia, che ha propiziato la vittoria come “Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Song” del suo brano “Up”. Per la rivelazione di “New Artist of the Year” si è, invece, imposta Olivia Rodrigo.. superata, però, come “Favorite Female Pop Artist” dalla collega sempre in pole tra le stars, Taylor Swift, che ha vinto anche per il “Favorite Pop Album”.. con “evermore”. Gli altri apprezzamenti sono andati ad Ed Sheeran, eletto “Favorite Male Pop Artist”.. Drake e Megan Thee Stallion, come artisti rap/hip hop.. “The Weeknd” e Doja Cat per il genere soul/r&b, che ha visto premiare per la “Favorite Song”.. “Leave the Door Open”.. anche il duo “Silk Sonic” composto da Bruno Mars ed Anderson .Paak (a cui è stata affidata l’opening di serata sulle note della loro “Smokin Out the Window“).. per il rock, inaspettatamente il rapper Machine Gun Kelly.. per la dance/electronic il dj “Marshmello”, preferito al collega David Guetta.. e per la categoria gospel il rapper e cantautore Kanye West.
Con i “BTS”.. raggiunti per la performance live da Chris Martin ed i “Coldplay”, che con loro hanno cantato il pezzo “My Universe”.. sul palco hanno fatto capolino nel corso della lunga cerimonia di consegna.. i “New Kids on the Block”, tornati on stage per l’evento.. i nostri “Maneskin”, reduci dalla più recente incoronazione internazionale agli “Mtv Ema 2021”, o “Europe Music Awards”, seguita all’affermazione storica all’“Eurovision Song Contest” (QUI il vecchio post), tirati in smoking per l’esecuzione di “Beggin”..anche se ad avere la meglio per la “Trending Song” diventata virale è stata Megan Thee Stallion.. e la stella della musica latina, Jennifer Lopez, presto protagonista della pellicola in uscita a “San Valentino”, “Marry Me”. J Lo, dalla colonna sonora della stessa commedia romantica che la vede finire a nozze per imprevisto con Owen Wilson, ha presentato la nuova traccia.. “On My Way”.. con cui ha ancora una volta incantato i presenti in abito da sposa e velo..
