 Di nuovo trasmessa nella notte da New York, in versione meno rigida nonostante il non superamento delle norme anti-Covid ancora stringenti per la pandemia in corso.. presentata in veste di cerimoniera dalla cantante Doja Cat, sul tappeto rosso dell’evento in Vivienne Westwood.. la rinnovata serata di consegna degli “MTV VMA (Video Music Awards) 2021”, arricchita dalle presenze dal vivo a sorpresa di Madonna.. apparsa in apertura per l’intro dello show.. e Jennifer Lopez, sul palco per premiare la “best new artist”, Olivia Rodrigo.. ha incoronato ieri, su tutti, il rapper Travis Scott e Justin Bieber.. rispettivamente trionfatori, il primo nella categoria “best hip hop video”.. ed il secondo premiato come “artist of the year” e per il “best pop video”.. anche se la categoria principale di “video of the year” se l’è invece aggiudicata Lil Nas X, con la sua “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)”.. destinataria anche dei riconoscimenti tecnici come “best direction” e “best visual effects”.
Se il ritrovato compagno di Kylie Jenner, e quasi papà “bis” (QUI e QUI i precedenti posts), ha dedicato a distanza la sua vittoria alla figlioletta primogenita, Stormi.. la romantica dichiarazione on stage del collega canadese è andata alla bellissima moglie, Hailey, presente ad applaudirlo, lì a vederlo anche esibire sulle note di “Stay”  e “Ghost”.. seguiti entrambi, nel lungo programma, dalle performances della coppia, Camila Cabello e Shawn Mendes.. e di Ed Sheeran, che ha cantato la nuova “Shivers”.    Di seguito una parte degli altri premiati, categoria per categoria:
