Dalla California, che ogni anno fa da cornice e sfondo allo show di celebrazione.. sono stati consegnati ieri notte “live”, per l’edizione 2021, i “People’s Choice Awards”.. ovvero i premi che ogni anno vengono attribuiti ai protagonisti di cinema, tv e musica.. e anche quest’anno, pur con tutte le restrizioni del caso, hanno incoronato i preferiti del pubblico americano.
Il riconoscimento più prestigioso, ovvero l’“Icon Award” già attribuito negli anni a Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston e Melissa McCarthy, è andato stavolta ad un’attrice e mamma, vista cimentarsi da regista nel titolo “Netflix” che la vede protagonista ed ha segnato anche il suo debutto alla macchina da presa, “Bruised – Lottare per Vivere”.. Halle Berry, premiata da Cardi B con l’iconico titolo. Ma altre due assegnazioni analoghe hanno onorato altrettante sue colleghe: il “Music Icon Award” riconosciuto a Christina Aguilera in campo musicale, mentre Britney Spears ha conquistato la “palma” di star più amata dei social.. ed il “Fashion Icon Award” che nel panorama del costume internazionale ha riconosciuto a Kim Kardashian la sua influenza, salita sul palco in occhiali neri ed outfit firmato Balenciaga.
Per il cinema, votato e preferito come “miglior attore” e “miglior attore comico”, si è imposto con una doppia vittoria l’attore Dwayne Johnson.. per il ruolo interpretato nel film d’azione e d’avventura della “Disney”, “Jungle Cruise”.. con il corrispettivo femminile andato, di contro, alla brava Scarlett Johansson. E se Ellen Pompeo ha meritato la riconferma come “miglior tv star femminile” per la serie di cui è il volto storico, “Grey’s Anatomy”.. così come, nelle rispettive categorie, hanno trionfato ancora Ellen De Generes con il suo show.. il talent d’importazione “The Voice”.. ed i Kardashians al completo con il loro reality, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”.. “Lucifer” è stato eletto “miglior Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show” e, sempre per la tv, hanno anche ottenuto consensi “Squid Game” e lo speciale (QUI il vecchio post) sempre prodotto per lo streaming, “Friends: The Reunion”. Infine, per quanto concerne la musica hanno fatto nuova incetta di preferenze collezionate i “BTS”, votati come “favorite group“, per la “favorite song” ed il “favorite music video”.. dividendo la scena con gli altri illustri vincitori.. Adele e Blake Shelton.
